Your score updates as you go. Nothing is stored.

01Do you know and control where the AI processes your data?
An EU region or on-prem, with no surprise third-country transfers.
02Have you identified a legal basis and checked whether a DPIA is required?
Art. 6 legal basis; Art. 35 DPIA for high-risk processing.
03Is an AVV (data-processing agreement, Art. 28) in place with every processor?
Including AI APIs, cloud, and their sub-processors.
04If staff will use it, have you involved the Betriebsrat?
AI that assists or could monitor staff is co-determination-relevant (§87 BetrVG).
05Do you control what gets ingested, excluding data you don’t need?
Especially Art. 9 special-category data.
06Can you enforce retention limits and honour deletion requests?
Including the index and logs, not just the source files.
07Can you tell users it’s AI and show where answers come from?
Art. 13 information duties; AI-Act Art. 50 transparency.
08Do you keep an audit trail of queries and access?
The accountability principle, Art. 5(2).
09Is there human oversight for consequential outputs?
Plus a feedback loop to catch errors.

Where RAGSuite helps

Self-hosting and local models keep residency and egress under your control; citation-backed answers cover transparency; built-in query logs and audit support accountability; and project isolation helps data minimisation. The legal pieces — DPIA, AVV, Betriebsrat — stay yours, but the technical evidence gets much easier.

Compliance & data protection · DPIA / AVV starter

Self-assessment, not legal advice. A readiness signal to surface gaps before deployment — not a certification or a substitute for your DPO and counsel. Map your processing and run a DPIA where the DSGVO requires it.

About this tool

Good to know

How is the score calculated?

Each “Yes” counts fully, “Partly” counts half, “No” counts zero, and “N/A” is excluded from the total. The percentage is your share of the applicable points — a readiness signal, not a certification.

Is this a compliance guarantee?

No. It’s a structured self-check to surface gaps before you deploy AI on real internal data. Pair it with your DPO, a DPIA where needed, and qualified counsel.

Does it store my answers?

No — scoring runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or saved.

Make the technical evidence the easy part.

RAGSuite self-hosts on your infrastructure with citation-backed answers, query tracing and audit logs — so residency, transparency and accountability are provable, not promised.
