Free plan

Trial

Free plans are meant for getting to know a product. You will often meet these limits; check them before a team gets used to the tool.

For use with company data, the last two points usually matter more than the price. Check them in the provider’s contract and privacy terms.
Open source: free, but plan for operations.
Open-source software has no licence fee. The costs shift to operations. Plan for that from the start, and you get full control over data and software in return.
Server
A server for the platform, database and search index. For a local language model, a suitable GPU too, or a model via API with your own key.
Maintenance and updates
Your IT team or a service provider handles installation, updates and backups.
Language model
Run locally or via API: with a local model you pay for hardware and power, with an API you pay the provider for usage.
Control
Data, index and histories stay on your servers. The code is open to inspection, and nobody can switch the service off on you.
