How to stay up to date.
Self-hosted, you update RAGSuite with one CLI command; your data and settings are kept. In the RAGSuite Engine we install updates for you. We announce new releases here and in the newsletter.
How we number releases.
The first number goes up with major changes, the second with new features and the third with fixes and smaller improvements. Features marked “beta” can be used but may still change. We publish security fixes as quickly as possible and also describe them in a security advisory. Every changelog entry names the date, the version and the main changes.
Questions about the RAGSuite changelog.
How do I update RAGSuite?
On your own servers you run the CLI update command; it downloads the new version and keeps your data and settings. Read the release notes in the changelog first. In the RAGSuite Engine we install updates without you having to do anything.
Do Community users get the same updates?
Yes. New Community Edition features ship to everyone, free and under Apache 2.0. Enterprise features ship in the same release and are unlocked with the licence key. So if you move to Enterprise later, you do not need to reinstall anything.
How binding is the roadmap?
The roadmap shows what we are working on next. We only give dates once a feature is ready. Priorities follow our customers’ feedback. If something is missing for you, write to us through the question field or open an issue on GitHub.
Where can I find security updates?
Security fixes appear in the changelog and also in a security advisory once a fix is available. If you run RAGSuite yourself, you should install such updates promptly. In the RAGSuite Engine we take care of it automatically. Please report vulnerabilities confidentially to security@ragsuite.de.
Can I keep using an older version?
Yes, self-hosted installations keep running even if you do not update at once. We do recommend staying current so you get security fixes and new features. We help Enterprise customers plan larger updates. In the RAGSuite Engine all customers use the current version.
Always the latest version, without effort.
In the RAGSuite Engine we install updates for you. Or install the Community Edition and update via the CLI.
