Which ChatGPT licences are there?
OpenAI separates two groups. Personal plans, Free, Go, Plus and Pro, are meant for individuals: one account, one person, no central management. Company plans, Business and Enterprise, bring users together in a workspace with administration, central billing and business terms.
For businesses the difference matters: according to OpenAI, data in a Business workspace is not used for training, and admins control users, roles and spending. Business was called “Team” until August 2025.

What does ChatGPT cost a business per year?
The table counts Standard seats only. If some people need Premium, add $1,200 (annual) to $1,500 (monthly) per person and year.

Workspaces can buy flexible credits for usage beyond the allowance. Plan a budget for it if many in the team work intensively.
API usage
The API is not included in the Business subscription and is billed separately by usage: important for integrations with your own systems.

Data protection review
DPA, review of transfers to the US and often an impact assessment: count in hours from your data protection officer.
What does ChatGPT Enterprise cost?
OpenAI publishes no price for ChatGPT Enterprise. You get a quote from sales; the price depends on users, term and contract scope. According to OpenAI, invoicing against purchase orders, payment terms, zero data retention and similar arrangements need a contract rather than the self-serve Business plan.
Pages that state fixed Enterprise prices rely on single quotes or estimates. So always compare your own quote, and ask about the data storage region, sub-processors and notice periods.
