AI prompt generator: good prompts in one minute

With the AI prompt generator you write a prompt that works in one minute. Pick a template, enter the task, context and format, and copy the finished prompt into your AI tool. The generator does not call any AI and sends nothing.

Why does an AI prompt generator get you better answers?

Most weak answers from an AI have a simple cause: the prompt lacks what the AI cannot know. Who needs what by when, in which tone, at what length. The generator asks for these points and puts them in a fixed order.

This turns “Write an email to the apprentices” into a prompt with role, occasion, facts, format and limits. You need to correct the result less often, and the AI invents less.

Role

The point of view the AI writes from: HR officer, sales, IT support.

Context

Facts, occasion and audience. Everything that is not in the model’s training.

Format and limits

List, table or email, length, tone, and what the AI should not do.

Templates

Six templates for everyday work.

Each template fills role, task and format with suitable starting values. You only adjust the context and facts.

Write an email

Invitations, follow-ups, rejections: with occasion, date and form of address.

Summarise a text

Minutes and reports as bullet points, decisions first.

Rewrite a text

Shorter, clearer, in plain language or in a different tone.

Questions about a document

Answers only from the pasted text, with the source passage.

Brainstorm ideas

Suggestions with a short reason, sorted by effort.

Translate

By meaning rather than word for word, with technical terms and the right form of address.

Data protection

What the generator checks and what it does not.

The generator warns when your inputs look like email addresses, phone numbers, IBANs or passwords. The check runs only in your browser and does not replace approval by your data protection team. It does not reliably detect names, so replace them with placeholders yourself.

If you use the same prompts with confidential documents, an AI assistant you operate yourself is the better choice. In RAGSuite you set up an assistant per project with fixed instructions and your sources, on your own server if you wish.

FAQ

Questions about the prompt generator.

Is the prompt generator free?

Yes. The prompt generator is free and needs no sign-up. It assembles your input into a prompt using a fixed pattern: role, context, task, format and limits. You copy the finished prompt into the AI tool of your choice, such as your company’s chat.

Are my inputs stored or sent to an AI?

No. The generator runs entirely in your browser and does not call any AI. Your inputs are neither stored nor sent to a server. Only when you paste the prompt into an AI tool yourself do that tool’s rules apply. Check then whether the tool is approved for your data.

Do the prompts work with every AI tool?

Usually, yes. The prompts are plain, clearly structured text and work with common chat tools and language models, including local models. Depending on the tool, it pays to refine length and format after the first result. Save prompts that work well as templates for your team.

What makes a good prompt?

A good prompt tells the AI who it is, what to do, for whom, in which format and what not to do. On top come facts the AI cannot know. The prompt engineering guide explains the eight techniques behind it, each with an example.

Why does the generator warn about some inputs?

The generator detects patterns that look like personal or confidential data, such as email addresses, phone numbers, IBANs or the word password. The check runs only in your browser. Replace such details with placeholders like “customer A” before you paste the prompt into an AI tool.
